Day walks are run on most Sundays, some Saturdays and some Wednesdays - usually within 1-2 hours drive from Melbourne. We carpool from Kew to reach the walk start.
We also run multi-day activities, including overnight walks (with packs) and base camps (in cabins or tents), with associated day walks. Overnight activities are usually held over long weekends and in major holiday periods, at bush locations in country Victoria and interstate.
There are regular social events and occasionally we do snow trips, cycling, and canoeing.
You are invited to walk with Boroondara Bushwalkers. You do not need to be an experienced bushwalker - we cater for all fitness levels, and beginners are especially welcome.
For members of the CAEX Bushwalking Club part of the answer means living up to our motto, 'Bushwalking for Pleasure'. One of the ways we do this is each activity leader brings a cake to share over a cup of tea or coffee at the end of the walk. This tradition began with our first walk and has continued ever since.
Our activities are planned to ensure safe enjoyment of the bush and other natural places. Our activities include day walks, weekend base camping trips, some cycling trips, annual lodge based stays at Falls Creek and Mt Hotham, as well as extended excursions in Victoria, interstate and occasionally overseas. Our activities include a strong social element including restaurant nights, film nights and other social activities. Base camps, lodge based trips and expeditions often include social activities such as visiting wineries, 'happy hours' and group meals.
You don't have to be an experienced 'outdoor' person. The whole idea of our club is to enjoy nature, exchange knowledge and skills, mainly through participation....and the main thing....to have FUN!
Welcome to the Walking Club of Victoria (WCV). WCV is a Melbourne based bush walking club (founded in 1947) catering for men, women and families. Club members come from all parts of Melbourne. The club conducts activities 52 weeks of the year consisting of bush walks, suburban walks and base camp walks. These activities are supplemented by cycling and other active and social pursuits. Interstate excursions and occasional overseas trips extend the walking horizons. Membership is small enough to avoid being impersonal, resulting in close and on-going companionship.

The Grampians Bushwalking Club was formed in 1994. A public meeting was held in Stawell and from that the club evolved. Walks take place on a fortnightly basis at weekends, alternating between Saturday and Sunday to give everyone the opportunity to walk.
